External thermal insulation (ITE) wraps your house in a continuous insulating coat. Less heating, more comfort, a brand-new façade. An investment that pays for itself in 8 to 12 years.
The single most effective move in an energy retrofit.
External insulation treats all thermal bridges in one go: walls, slab junctions, window reveals. It is technically far more effective than internal insulation, and you don't lose any habitable square metre.
In use, it means a 25 to 40% reduction in heating consumption for a poorly insulated pre-1975 house. And in summer, the recovered thermal mass protects you from overheating — a real concern in Toulouse.
Bonus: your façade is fully redone in the process. Scratched, trowelled or smooth render finish, in the colour of your choice, with a 10-year guarantee.
Two main families depending on your substrate.
Rendered ITE — polystyrene (EPS)
The most common system: EPS panels glued and pinned, reinforced base coat, mineral or organic render finish.
Rendered ITE — rock wool
Mineral, non-flammable, excellent summer comfort. Recommended in fire zones or for R+2 houses.
Ventilated cladding
Timber framing, insulation (wood or rock wool), exterior cladding (wood, composite, metal). Contemporary look.
Reveals refurbishment
Window sills, reveals, cornices, parapets — everything is reworked for a clean finish without thermal bridges.
Substrate preparation
Diagnosis of the existing façade, crack treatment, repair of friable renders, brushing, bonding primer.
Render finish
Trowelled, scratched or float finish render. Wide colour range from Weber, Parex, Sto.
